SkillStars ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal information collected through SkillStars.co.uk. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect

• Parent or carer name, email address and mobile number
• Your child's first name, age and school year group
• The areas of support you tell us about and any message you send
• Your preferred session day and chosen Meet the Tutor date
• How you found us, including marketing campaign information (UTM parameters)
• Payment records held by our payment provider, Stripe (we never see card details)

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange tuition (legitimate interests / contract)
• To confirm Meet the Tutor bookings and send reminders
• To administer enrolments and payments
• To send news, offers and updates, only where you have opted in (consent)

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run SkillStars: our website and database hosting, our email provider, and Stripe for payments. We do not sell your information.

Keeping it

Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months after your last contact with us. Records relating to tuition and payments are kept for six years to meet accounting obligations.

Children's information

Information about a child is provided by their parent or carer and is used only to plan and deliver appropriate tuition.

Your rights
